#64 – Patricia Rodriguez Barrios – Management in Spanish football

What is it like to be the pioneer in Spanish football management?

Patricia Rodríguez Barrios is one of the role models in the world of football. She arrived at the Spanish football club, Eibar in 2014 as financial director and in 2016 she became the first woman in the history of Spanish men’s football to hold the position as a manager of a First Division club. Five years later she was one of the most experienced managers in Spanish football and has managed to successfully grow the Spanish football clubs: Eibar, Elche and Granada.

She currently advises different football clubs and leagues, collaborates on projects with the SportsTech startup accelerator, Sportboost, she is a member of the Advisory Board of the World Football Summit and the Spanish Sports Marketing Association. In addition, she teaches classes in different sports management programs at the European University, Loyola University and La Liga Business School.
